Surface Treatment of Our Marble Tiles
Polished Marble Tiles
Mirror-gloss that amplifies veining and light for a luxurious, gallery-level look. Best on walls, feature panels, and lobbies. Not recommended for wet floors; maintain with pH-neutral cleaners and avoid acids to protect the shine.
Honed Marble Tiles
Soft, satin sheen that shows stone character without glare—comfortable underfoot and visually calm. Ideal for bathroom floors, living areas, and commercial halls with better slip feel than polished. Seal to resist stains; use white thinset for light marbles.
Brushed/Leathered Marble Tiles
Gently textured, tactile surface that improves grip and hides minor scratches/etching. A smart choice for entries, vanities, and family bathrooms, delivering a warm, matte look with practical durability. Periodic sealing keeps color depth and resistance.
Tumbled/Sandblasted Marble Tiles
Weathered edges or micro-rough faces provide strong anti-slip and a classic, timeworn character. Suited to steps, thresholds, patios, and dry outdoor zones in mild climates. Seal to guard against salts and stains; avoid freeze-thaw and aggressive pool chemistry.
Mulan Build Marble Tiles Solution FAQs
Q: Can subway tiles be used on floors or shower floors?
A: Most subway tiles are designed for walls. For floors, choose porcelain subway tiles that are floor-rated (PEI III/IV) with wet DCOF ≥0.42 or R10/R11. For shower floors, use mosaics or small formats to improve grip and drainage; avoid glossy finishes underfoot.
Q: How do I choose between Gloss, Matte, and Crackle finishes?
A: Gloss brightens spaces and wipes clean—great for backsplashes and shower walls. Matte/Satin gives a softer look and hides water spots—good for full-height walls. Crackle offers handcrafted character but must be sealed before/after grouting and periodically; keep it away from constant spray or submersion.
Q: Which sizes and patterns work best—3×6", 2×8", 4×12"? 50% or 33% offset?
A: All three sizes are classics. Use stacked (vertical or horizontal) for modern lines, or herringbone for a feature wall. For long rectangles, choose ≤33% offset to reduce lippage; set 2–3 mm grout joints for clean alignment.
Q: Are kitchen grease and shower water marks easy to clean? What grout do you recommend?
A: Yes—use pH-neutral cleaners (degreaser for kitchens) and a quick squeegee after showers. For stain resistance, specify epoxy or high-performance grout on backsplashes and wet areas. For glass tiles, use unsanded grout to avoid scratching; reseal stone/crackle surfaces as needed.
Q: Do you supply matching trims and what are the lead times/MOQs?
A: We provide bullnose, pencil, quarter round, chair rail, and inside/outside corners in coordinated colors. Samples ship in 48 hours; MOQs are flexible by series. Orders are packed by area with shade/batch control, and we support FOB/CIF/DDP with a 24-hour quote—send your drawings or BOQ.
